The Dresser that Grandpa and I Built

I came to grandpa with a mission….I had a design all mapped out on paper and cutsheets specified in AutoCAD. I wanted to build a new dresser for myself, but I had some pretty specific challenges to face: namely that I wanted to finish the back and that I wanted the entire thing to be disassembled and reassembled for moving.

That meant no exterior screws and no glue. And I think Gramps looked at me like I was a bit crazy. But we accomplished it in the end, and it sits in my home today – a much beloved piece of furniture and memories.
