A rebuild of an earlier system build in .Net, the new custom member newsletter system was built to integrate with the existing in-house staff system used for content management, developed in PHP, Laravel, and AdminLTE. The project leveraged Laravel’s event bus and queued dispatch capabilities to send daily emails to member subscribers according to an approved publication schedule of content.
Staff were granted appropriate creation, editing, deletion, and send permissions based on role and capabilities, also managed within the staff portal. Reporting for data analysis were designed based on feedback from key users and optimized for efficient compilation at runtime. Error logs delivered by email to technical staff improved insight into success and failure procedures that were previously untraceable.
